LLOYD'S LIST

Lloyd's List logoSince its birth in Edward Lloyd’s London coffee shop in 1734, Lloyd’s List has been informing and guiding the thinking of business leaders and decision-makers the world over. Two and a half centuries later, the culture that spawned the provision of expert, authoritative coverage of the global shipping markets is as strong as ever.

Lloyd’s List not only covers the shipping industry but also has in-depth coverage of marine insurance, offshore energy, logistics, global trade, and law. An unrivalled daily source of news and comment - acting not just as the voice of the shipping industry but sometimes as its conscience as well. With a dedicated newsroom mirrored by a network of correspondents sited strategically in the world’s crucial shipping centers, Lloyds List ensures coverage that is up-the-minute as well as global.

In addition to five daily editions a week and web presence, Lloyd’s List produces hundreds of supplements and special reports every year targeted at specific markets in the maritime sector and related industries. It publishes the industry’s first and best ship management magazine, LSM and Maritime Asia.

Lloyd’s List is the flagship of the Maritime and Transport division of London-listed Informa plc, the leading international provider of specialist information services to the professional, commercial, academic and scientific business communities.

The site also hosts the world’s biggest dedicated marine/energy credit report database. The statistics speak for themselves: over 120,000 vessels, 163,000 shipping companies and 13,500 credit reports accessible online 24 hours a day.

Lloyd’s MIU has a global presence: its principal offices are located in the UK (London, Colchester and Oxford), US (New York) and Singapore. In addition, Lloyd’s MIU directly employs expert analysts and researchers in Athens, Barcelona, Mumbai and Vancouver.
